(fyi...this is an old picture from his last flag football season, I forgot my camera tonight)
Today Kobe had two football games. The last game was brutal - at least for us on the sidelines. It started at 7pm, when it was 64 degrees out, with strong winds and the grass always makes it feel even colder, know what I mean?! However, despite my frozen toes and my whining, freezing children, I loved being there! My athletically-gifted son played amazingly well! I know we are only talking about kids' sports and it's not like it's the Super Bowl, but he made me proud! He played a team that was undefeated and had not even been scored on all season - until now! He scored FIVE touchdowns and TWO 2-point conversions! It was such a great game to watch. It is even better to see the joy on his face when he plays! He has such a love for all sports and feels at home on any field, basketball court or baseball diamond; you name it, he loves it! Which is why I love it; he has such excitement when he participates and loves being part of a team and trying his personal best every time with a desire to continually improve!
Kobe, you are so amazing to watch! I am so proud of you! I am so glad you found something (or a lot of things) that make you happy and I am so glad to be there with you. It brings a huge smile to my face every time I watch you! Never give up, always try your best and most importantly, have fun! I love you beyond measure and sports or no sports, I am so proud of the person you are and the man you are going to become! I love you (M.O.A)!!
Love ~
