It is only Friday!

I sit here and I am humbled.  Trying to imagine how Jesus must have felt in the garden, knowing what was to come, knowing what he would endure on the cross before he would rise...it is all very hard to wrap my mind around.  Knowing all the physical pain that was to come.  Knowing that an even greater pain (being spiritually separated from God) would cause Him pure anguish (Matthew 27:46)! Knowing that what He dreaded and was praying to God about (Matthew 26:39) was coming and having to do it anyway. How LOVED are we, that Jesus would suffer a double death so we would never have to experience eternal separation from God!?  He did it, so we don't have to!
Lord, Thank You!  Thank You for loving us!  Thank You for paying my debt!  Thank You that because of your suffering, we will never be eternally separated from You!  Thank You for what the Hope of Sunday brings!  I love You!
